Rick Mansfield lives in the metropolis of Simpsonville, Kentucky, with his fetching wife, Kathy, and their basset hound, Bessie Mae. When Rick is not blogging or spending time with his family, he can often be found at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is a doctoral candidate in NT Theology. He also teaches regularly at the Louisville campus of Indiana Wesleyan University where he has been part of the affiliate/adjunct faculty since 2004.
Rick and Kathy have applied to adopt a little girl from China, who is tentatively named Elianna Ruth.
